ABOUT HEADWALL INVESTMENTS
Headwall Investments, LLC (“Headwall”) is an investment firm headquartered in San Antonio and backed by George J. Wommack, an experienced leader with a proven track record of taking large scale companies’ full cycle, through development, capitalization, growth and disposition while delivering outsized returns to its investors in the process. Mr. Wommack founded, built and sold Petro Waste Environmental LP in a five-year period from 2013-2019. Prior to that Mr. Wommack syndicated multiple shopping center investments in San Antonio.
Headwall is currently in the process of raising equity capital for its first commercial real estate fund targeting shopping centers in the San Antonio region. Additional funds in other asset classes and geographies are planned over the years as the capital in the first funds is deployed.
George J. Wommack – Founder, President & CEO
George Wommack has spent the past decade intricately involved in various stages of the commercial real estate and oil & gas industry where he has been instrumental in leading various private equity-backed and privately funded companies. He founded and is the former CEO of Petro Waste Environmental LP (Petro Waste), which he grew into the largest oil & gas solid waste processing and disposal company in the Permian Basin and ultimately sold to Waste Management (NYSE: WM). Prior to Petro Waste, Mr. Wommack syndicated multiple real estate limited partnership investments with a tremendously successful track record.
In Mr. Wommack’s current role as President and CEO of Headwall Investments, he is committed to recreating his successes in real estate he delivered through Fortress Holdings on a comparable scale to what he accomplished at Petro Waste. This goal will be achieved by focusing directly on high net worth individuals and family offices for equity capital. This direct relationship enables Headwall to deliver superior returns to those offered by comparable companies while being focused only on the partners whose investment philosophies align most directly with those of Headwall.
Mr. Wommack has been recognized for some of these achievements which include being named to the Oil and Gas Investor Magazine’s Forty Under 40 list in 2018, theSan Antonio Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” list in 2016 and being featured in Texas CEO magazine 2016. Additionally, in his role at Petro Waste Environmental he was successful in achieving recognition as a “Best Places to Work” by San Antonio Business Journal for each year the company was eligible.
Mr. Wommack is a leader in the San Antonio community, active in numerous organizations and endeavors benefitting business, education, and the arts. He is a member of the San Antonio Chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), serves on the board of the Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners Association (TIPRO) and is a member of the Rotary Club of San Antonio. He and his wife, Christen, are involved in many of the city’s cultural and educational institutions, and keep busy raising their four children.
Mr. Wommack graduated from The University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business with a degree in finance. While in college, he was active in the SAE Texas Rho Fraternity where he served as President. Additionally, he was a member of the Silver Spurs where he served as a Bevo Handler during the 2005 National Championship football season.
Dillon Hurley – Portfolio Manager
Dillon Hurley acts as the Portfolio Manager for Headwall Investments, LLC. His responsibilities include the sourcing and managing of acquisitions, overseeing the leasing and management of current assets in Headwall’s portfolio, and investor reporting. He also assists with sourcing of equity from new potential investors.
Prior to Headwall, Mr. Hurley was an Associate at Avison Young in Houston focusing on tenant and landlord representation for office, retail, and medical buildings in the Houston area. Mr. Hurley began his career as a Research Analyst for Retail Solutions along with internships during his time in college at Transwestern and NAI Partners.
Mr. Hurley is a graduate from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Government and a minor in the McCombs Business Foundations program. He was an active member in the Undergraduate Real Estate Society during his time in school.
Henry Vaughan – Business Development Associate
Henry Vaughan operates as the Business Development Associate for Headwall Investments, LLC. His primary focus revolves around investor relations and capital acquisition.
Mr. Vaughan has experience in a wide range of industries, including commercial real estate, retail product sales, voluntary benefits & perks platforms, as well as digital marketing. He has worked for organizations such as, Pinpoint Commercial Properties, Lincoln Properties, Sunny Sky Beverage Products, and most recently Beneplace, LLC.
Mr. Vaughan successfully built and managed an account portfolio, which helped lead to an acquisition of Beneplace, LLC by Entertainment Benefits Group in the fall of 2019. He is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Economics and a minor in the McCombs Business Foundations program and was a member of the Texas Cowboys.
